Features and Service Codes

The BT110 enables both Alexa Voice Service (AVS) and Alexa Communication (ACM).  Since ACM does not support the use of call features (such as call hold, call transfer, 3-way calling etc.), the BT100 and BT110 disable set-based call features (i.e. call features controlled by the BT device) in order to ensure the device’s call state is not out-of-synch with that of the ACM server in the Amazon network.

While the BT100/BT110 have set-based call features disabled, server-based call features are still available if the VoIP service you subscribe to provides server-based call features. To use server-based call features, please ensure that the proper call feature triggering mechanisms are enabled. These triggering mechanisms may include star codes and/or hook flashes, where the latter may require hook flash events to be sent either via SIP INFO or SIP NOTIFY messages. Therefore, please ensure that SIP INFO or SIP NOTIFY is enabled if required.

The BT120 model has ACM disabled and, therefore, set-based call features are supported on the BT120.

The BT200 supports call features provided by Amazon Alexa for Business. The BT200 can exchange call state and callee information with Alexa for Business servers, thus allowing the BT200 to maintain call state synchronization with Alexa for Business and, therefore, seamlessly support call features.

Emergency Number If the entered number is dialed, all call features are disabled. (Call Waiting, Call Transfer, etc…)
Note: This configuration is set to “911” and is not user configurable. However, it can be updated through the auto-provisioning process
Allow BYE at End of Emergency Call If enabled, when you hang up a call to an emergency number, treat this as a normal call hang-up. If it is disabled, the BT device will ring the phone when you hang up instead of terminating the call.
Note: This configuration is set to Disabled and is not user configurable. However, it can be updated through the auto-provisioning process.
Enable Caller ID of Emergency Call If enabled, Caller ID will always be sent for an outbound call to the Emergency Number (regardless of the “Caller ID Block” setting below).
Note: This configuration is set to Enabled and is not user configurable. However, it can be updated through the auto-provisioning process.
Service Code The following settings are applicable to device-based call features.
Cancel Call Waiting The service code to cancel/resume (i.e. toggle action) receiving and answering an incoming call when this line is engaged on another call.
Call Transfer The service code to transfer the current call to another destination.
Caller ID Display The service code to display the incoming caller phone number and its display name.
Caller ID Block The service code to hide the outbound caller phone number and its display name.
Do Not Disturb ON The service code for “Do Not Disturb-On”, preventing incoming calls from ringing the phone.
Note: This setting is independent of the “DND” Alexa feature controlled through voice or the Alexa app.
Do Not Disturb OFF The service code for “Do Not Disturb-Off”, allowing incoming calls to ring the phone.
Note: This setting is independent of the “DND” Alexa feature controlled through voice or the Alexa app.
Play My IP Address When a phone is connected to the FXS port of the BT device, and this service code is dialed, the current BT device IP address will be played out to the phone handset. The particular IP address that is played out under different network configurations.
Speed Dialing Enter a prefix to use with the Speed Dialing Settings under the Port Config section. For example, if you configure a #9 in this setting, to dial the phone number for Speed Dialing Settings 0, simply dial a #90. Ensure the Prefix and Speed Dialing Settings don’t cause a dialing conflict with other features such as Call Transfer and Caller ID Display.
Note: The Speed Dial capability is only available through a PSTN phone connected to the FXS port of the device.
