InnoMedia’s solutions for the Residential & SOHO market address the most common needs of the SOHO or home user, featuring InnoMedia’s widely deployed MTA6328 product family, as well as the newly introduced high-performance price-competitive MTA8328 family.

The MTA8328 family offers flexible network connectivity with Ethernet (MTA8328-1N) and WiFi (MTA8328-1N) WAN connectivity.  Furthermore, it comes with GR909 line diagnostic features for wiring fault detections.  The line diagnostic features (together with the optional GR1089 intra-building lightning protection included in the MTA8328) allows it to support house wiring installation, thus enabling service providers to offer seamless PSTN replacement to their customers.

Products in the Residential and SOHO category include the MTA8328 family (MTA8328-1N, MTA8328-4).

MTA8328 family:
InnoMedia’s MTA8328 SOHO and Residential CPE offers service operators a wide variety of solutions for the consumer market. It provides features such as NAT router functionality, reliable fax transmission with T.38 or G.711 fallback, in-band and RFC2833-based DTMF,  and QoS & rate limiting capability to provide high quality of service. Additionally, the support of RTCP-XR and end-of-call syslog reporting of VoIP quality telemetry parameters such as MOS, R-factor, jitter, packet loss and delay gives service providers visibility into network VoIP quality and performance and allows various types of voice quality analysis to be conducted (e.g., Temporal Voice Quality AnalysisParametric Voice Quality Analysis). All InnoMedia’s MTA devices can be managed by InnoMedia’s Element Management System (EMS), allowing remote access and monitoring even when the device is behind an NAT router.

All the MTA8328 ATAs include QoS features to ensure high-quality over the broadband network, as well as a wideband codec (G.722) to deliver voice quality superior to that of PSTN.

These MTA and IPPhone devices all support auto-provisioning and include an EMS client to work seamlessly with InnoMedia’s Element Management System (EMS).

MTA8328 family:
InnoMedia’s new generation MTA8328-1N, or MTA8338-1N Residential CPE offers service operators a price competitive, feature rich solutions for the consumer market. It provides features such as reliable fax transmission with T.38 or G.711 fallback, in-band and RFC2833-based DTMF, and low/high-speed modem support for credit card readers and other POS terminals.

The built-in voice prompt assistant in the MTA8328 family offers user friendly status information including the device IP address, the Ethernet cable connection status, the Internet service status and the device registration status, thus reducing service provider customer support cost. The GR909 line diagnostic tests detect presence of foreign voltages (PSTN power feed or power crossing), receiver off-hook, REN violation, and tip-ring short.  These line fault detection features plus the optional GR1089 intra-building lightning protection enables the MTA8328-1E to support house wiring, thus allowing service providers to offer high-quality voice services for seamless PSTN replacement.

The devices also support auto-provisioning and include an EMS client to work seamlessly with InnoMedia’s Element Management System (EMS) for remote monitoring and management, making it an ideal solution for rapid and large-scale service deployment.
