InnoMedia unveils its third generation of IP VideoPhones, the MTA 5000 series, which comes with an abundance of exciting new features. This sleek and streamline looking series is compatible with 3G mobile phone systems.

PSTN Connectivity and Fallback
The MTA 5531 IP VideoPhone provides PSTN connectivity and fallback features, which enable the user to make both IP Voice/Video calls over the broadband IP network, as well as regular voice calls via the traditional PSTN network. This feature provides incumbent operators with an option to upgrade existing PSTN voice customers to IP based video services with the least interruption by ensuring minimum change to customers' habits such as customers' phone numbers and dialing habits. Competitive operators on the other hand, can leverage on the same feature to offer transparent alternative IP voice and video telephony services without addressing regulatory issues, as the VideoPhone is able to make voice calls via PSTN during power failure.

3G Mobile System Compatible
The MTA 5531 is compatible with 3G networks and mobile videophones. Calls can be made between fixed line videophones and 3G mobile videophones, thus enabling face-to-face communications between homes, offices and mobile users on the road.

Wireless LAN 802.11b Support
The MTA 5531 IP VideoPhone supports PCMCIA wireless LAN 802.11b connectivity. With an uplink access of up to 11Mbps, the VideoPhone can be deployed anywhere in the home or office without complicated wiring issues.

Built-in NAT Router
The built-in NAT Router enables the end user to share the same broadband link for both video telephony and internet access without increasing access charges for separate IP addresses. With a priority switch built-in, video telephony traffic is given preference to ensure smooth video conversation even when someone is using the same link for internet surfing.

Support Firewall/Border Traversal Solution
The MTA 5531 supports network based firewall and border traversal solutions offered by service providers, allowing telephony services to be deployed behind NAT/Firewall environments in enterprises. In addition, the MTA 5531 supports VLAN routing for better control of video, voice and data traffic.

ICON Based Graphic User Interface
The MTA 5531 is equipped with user-friendly menu architecture powered by an icon-based GUI system. The user can easily navigate and access the set of rich features available in the VideoPhone.

Voice and Video* Answering Machine Functions
The built-in voice and video* answering machine enables the caller to either leave a voice message or a live video* message on the videophone. The user can easily retrieve recorded video* messages and record his/her own greeting message directly on the VideoPhone.
