InfoGate. Similarly, anyone with a telephone in a geographical area with an installed InfoGate can call
any telephone in another InfoGate serviced area. The person within an InfoGate serviced area can also
choose to call an InfoTalk user directly. The key advantage that the interoperability of these two products
brings is widespread, continuous access to a regular telephone, without the expense of long-distance
toll charges.
The new interoperability between InfoTalk and InfoGate allows for Point-to-Multipoint calls. This is a new
benefit to InfoTalk users that allows them to conveniently call any destination and reap the savings gained
through Internet Telephony. The InfoTalk product now comes equipped with a "Gateway Dial Mode", easily
seen on the InfoTalk LCD panel. This makes it possible for the InfoTalk to transparently route a call to the
nearest InfoGate of the number being dialed.
