Powered by InnoMedia's Voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology, InfoTalk LAN is a compact, self-contained, single port VoIP device that is targeted at corporate offices with PBX phone systems, the small office/home office (SOHO) market with a LAN, and homes with cable or DSL modems. InfoTalk LAN is a cost-effective, all-in-one IP telephony solution for a networked environment. For the corporate office, InfoTalk LAN integrates with any existing PBX system, bringing instant VoIP capabilities to standard office phones. For the SOHO market, InfoTalk LAN seamlessly integrates into the office LAN environment allowing calls to be made over the Internet. It can also be used effectively from the home, allowing users to take advantage of high-speed, broadband Internet connections for high quality Internet calls. InfoTalk LAN users can also call other InfoTalk users anywhere in the world for free and can place calls to any phone in over 200 countries at attractive low per-minute rates through InnoSphere, InnoMedia's global Internet telephony service network. "The future of telecommunications belongs to Voice-over-IP," said Kai Wa Ng, CEO and co-founder of InnoMedia. "We see a huge opportunity in the small and medium enterprise market (SME) as a way to bring VoIP to the masses. InfoTalk LAN is one of InnoMedia's many efforts to deliver innovative and value-added products that will provide our customers with high-quality, cost-effective services." InfoTalk LAN is the centerpiece of InnoMedia's newly launched ICE (International Calling for Enterprises) program, an international calling service for enterprises in Singapore. This first-to-market service allows enterprises to make international calls at low, flat rates to 24 countries. "There are almost 100,000 SMEs in Singapore," said Ng. "Our easy-to-use InfoTalk LAN and ICE program are specially designed to help them exploit the Internet and realize substantial cost savings in communications. We will be looking to roll out the ICE service in countries where deregulation of the telecommunications industry is already underway." InfoTalk LAN will be available for delivery in late July as an OEM product, ideal for: Cable/DSL service providers; Cable/DSL modem manufacturers; PBX manufacturers/integrators; network integrators; and ISPs.
