SAN JOSE, CA -- December 6, 1999
-- InnoMedia, Inc., a leading supplier of Voice-over-IP (VoIP)
appliances and business solutions, today announced the InfoGate
3010, a cost effective, fully integrated
four port analog VoIP gateway engineered to provide "Toll Quality" voice
service over IP networks. The
InfoGate 3010 can connect branch offices within corporations, sending
voice calls over a private or public
IP network virtually eliminating long distance charges for intra-office
communication. The InfoGate 3010 can
be connected to an office's PBX, and features configurable signaling,
ensuring compatibility with all PBX and
central office switches around the world.
The InfoGate 3010 enables the convergence of voice and data into one network
allowing offices to quickly
and easily enjoy the cost savings of IP telephony. The small, fully independent
VoIP gateway takes only
minutes to install and configure, and requires no daily maintenance or
administration. Built on a robust Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), the
InfoGate 3010 uses advanced voice compression, echo
cancellation, and packet recovery algorithms for reliable "Toll Quality"
voice service over IP networks.
The InfoGate 3010 comes equipped with an integrated GateKeeper, eliminating
the need to purchase and maintain a separate database server. The user-defined
address translation table enables users to create
their own preferred dialing plans for least cost call routing. For additional
convenience, the InfoGate 3010 includes its own configurable Interactive
Voice Response (IVR) system, which can be customized for any language
and can be programmed to best suit the business application.
"The InfoGate 3010 is a cost effective, state-of-the-art solution for
businesses that can immediately reduce
their long distance charges without compromising convenience or call quality,"
stated Dr. Nan-Sheng Lin, president and co-founder of InnoMedia, Inc.
"In addition to providing the cost savings associated with VoIP,
its built-in gatekeeper and IVR capabilities reduce the business owner's
need to invest in other telephony equipment."
Companies with an existing data network linking its remote corporate locations
can use the InfoGate 3010
to enable the network to support voice communications, eliminating the
cost and effort associated with
managing a separate backbone voice network.
The InfoGate 3010 provides remote management capabilities, allowing a
corporation to administer all of its
units from one centralized location. In addition, field-upgradability
ensures platform flexibility and support
for all new services and applications. Optional Call Detail Records (CDR)
logging enables convenient administration of call records for accounting
and management purposes.
Based on InnoMedia's advanced patent-pending hardware-based DSP technology,
the InfoGate 3010
provides a dramatic improvement in voice quality over conventional IP
telephony solutions. The InfoGate
3010 with 4 analog ports will be available in mid-December from InnoMedia's
VARs and system integrators, starting at $2,495 US. For channel sales
