SANTA CLARA, CA -- July 20, 1998
-- InnoMedia today announced production availability of the
InfoBlazer ISDN Terminal Adapter. Providing improved Internet access
and high speed PC-to-PC
communications, InfoBlazer includes simultaneous voice, fax and modem
access over a single ISDN
line with Bandwidth-on-Demand capabilities.
InfoBlazer is ideal for use in remote offices that require high speed
Internet or corporate LAN access.
The InfoBlazer provides two analog ports, permitting users to connect
an ordinary telephone and a fax
machine or modem along with their terminal adapter to their ISDN line.
The integrated analog ports include full ringing support, allowing users
to take full advantage of their
telephone and fax, maximizing the return on their ISDN investment. Dynamic
Voice Override assigns
one B-channel automatically to incoming or outgoing voice or fax calls,
then transparently returns the
channel to ISDN data transfer when the call is completed.
The InfoBlazer supports Multilink Point-to-point Protocol (PPP), providing
digital high-speed Internet
access up to 128 kbps by combining two 64k kbps B-channels. Achieving
the optimal balance of
connection cost and performance, InfoBlazer's Bandwidth-on-Demand feature
automatically adds or
drops one B channel according to bandwidth requirements, achieving the
optimum data transfer rate
while minimizing network connection cost.
Included with the InfoBlazer is user-friendly easy setup software that
automatically configures user
SPID and ISDN switches. It utilizes an extended, user friendly AT command
set to configure the
terminal adapter/PC setting. InfoBlazer supports V.120 and has a DTE speed
of 300-230,400 bps.
InfoBlazer currently supports NI1, DMS100 and AT&T 5ESS for the USA.
With an estimated street price of $199.95, InfoBlazer is available through
distribution and resellers
worldwide.
