InfoAccel VoIP
PCI Card Will Allow Consumers and Corporations
to Make Free or Reduced-Cost Long Distance Calls
San Jose, CA -- May 04, 2000 -- InnoMedia,
a leading supplier of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) appliances, business solutions,
and services, today announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement
with EIM International Electronics Ltd., Israel's largest PC manufacturer.
Under the agreement, EIM will include InfoAccel, InnoMedia's award-winning
Internet telephony product, in its market-leading Newron line of personal
computers. EIM's Telecommunication division, EIM Telecom, will market
the product. In addition to InfoAccel, EIM Telecom will introduce other
InnoMedia VoIP solutions and technologies to broadband service operators,
PBX manufacturers and other customers in the Israeli market.
"This partnership will enable consumers and corporate customers throughout
Israel and neighboring countries to enjoy the many benefits of voice over
IP, including free or reduced long distance calls," said Avi Rappaport,
Vice President of Sales for InnoMedia, Inc. "EIM's dominance in the marketplace
will provide us with a very broad market reach almost instantly."
InfoAccel enables
consumers to make long-distance telephone calls for free to other InfoAccel
users or at significantly reduced rates to any phone in over 200 countries.
InfoAccel also offers Internet-based voice mail, so users can talk and
surf the Internet simultaneously, with only one phone line.
"EIM has always been
driven to provide state-of-the-art technology to the masses," said Yoram
Klein, Chairman and CEO of EIM International Electronics Ltd. "InnoMedia's
Internet telephony products will help facilitate that strategy, while
still providing the value our customers have come to expect."
Newron PCs with InfoAccel will be available
in June 2000, via EIM's PC dealers and reseller partners.
