Signs MOU With AsiaCableTV.com To Launch VoIP Products And Services Singapore and San Jose, CA August 3, 2000 InnoMedia, a leading global provider of Internet telephony products and services, announced today that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AsiaCableTV.com (ACTV) to jointly provide VoIP (Voice-over Internet Protocol) services to cable TV households and corporate users in China. ACTV, a Singapore-based company, is poised to be a leading broadband service provider in China, offering multimedia and interactive content to cable TV subscribers. It will be providing broadband services in two of China's most prosperous eastern seaboard provinces in the next six months. ACTV is one of four international technology companies which recently signed a pact with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) to provide interactive broadband services on SingaporeONE. "This alliance reflects our strategy of partnering with dominant players to deliver innovative and value-added VoIP services to their customers," said Mr. Kai Wa Ng, co-founder and CEO of InnoMedia. "We are delighted to work with AsiaCableTV.com, which will reach out to more than 10 million Chinese cable TV households and 300,000 small and medium-sized businesses." Under the partnership agreement, ACTV will be responsible for the marketing and distribution of InnoMedia's InfoTalk®LAN product to its cable TV partners' subscriber network both home users and businesses. Users of InfoTalk LAN will be able to make low cost international calls over InnoSphere, InnoMedia's global Internet telephony services network. InnoMedia is also developing interactive broadband products that will enhance ACTV's offerings to its cable subscriber base. InnoMedia will provide both customer and technical support for these products and services. "We are very proud to partner with InnoMedia, who are leaders in VoIP technology," said Peter Grant, Chief Marketing Officer at AsiaCableTV.com. "On the strength of this alliance, we can now provide exciting new telephony services to a significant percentage of our customers and further enhance ACTV's role in the fast-growing broadband arena in China." This is InnoMedia's second partnership in China. In May 2000, InnoMedia announced a strategic alliance with Tekson, one of China's top Internet service providers, in which Tekson will offer InnoMedia's Internet telephony services to its customers. InnoMedia and Tekson are also jointly developing a web-based call center with click-to-call capabilities. Commenting on the vast potential of the Chinese Internet telephony market, Mr. Ng added, "China is the fastest growing market in Asia. Industry experts have forecast Internet penetration to escalate from 10 million users in 1999, to 80 million users by 2003. We believe that InnoMedia is well-positioned to tap this phenomenal growth by partnering with leading Internet service providers like as ACTV and Tekson." About InfoTalk
