INNOMEDIA PROVIDES CABLE OPERATORS WITH COMPLETE PRIMARY LINE SOLUTION

WITH NEWLY AVAILABLE EXTERNAL BATTERY BACKUP

 

San Jose, CA — May 7, 2007— InnoMedia™, a leading supplier of Internet and broadband access IP telephony solutions, today announced a new Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) available with any InnoMedia residential or business class Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter (eMTA).

The new eUPS 1230, is designed to work in conjunction with InnoMedia’s current line of eMTA’s, to maintain service in case of power failure, for up to 3.5 hours and 5 hours for a 12-port eMTA (InnoMedia MTA 6528-12) and a 4-port eMTA (InnoMedia MTA 3528-4e), respectively.

About InnoMedia eUPS 1230
The eUPS1230 is a 12V DC UPS, providing 9 Amp-Hours of high battery capacity and 30 Watts of maximum power.  It features a field replaceable fuse designed to protect the unit from short-circuits, and offers complete PacketCable telemetry signals required for remote battery status monitoring.  For ease of installation, a stackable power cord is bundled with the unit.

InnoMedia’s residential eMTA 6528-2 is a reliable, interoperable, feature-rich, and cost-effective DOCSIS™ 2.0 ready device.  The eMTA 6528-4 and eMTA 6528-12 for enterprises, offer a rich set of business features including ground start, loop start and OSI: 900ms open loop for PBX disconnect; Fax support with T.38 and G.711 fallback; and Modem support with high speed modem pass through (v.34 and V.90) and low speed modem (Bell 103, 212) for credit card reader transactions.  These products are also equipped with NCS and SIP for PacketCable 1.0, PacketCable Multimedia, and PacketCable 2.0
